MIND 5 MIN READ • BY VICKY WARRELL It may surprise you to learn that more than a third of Brits prefer to sleep in a separate bed to their partner, but with the news that 25 percent of Brits only get five hours’ snoozing time a night or less, it might actually be beneficial to our health to sleep alone.
A whopping 40 percent of British adults say that their partner snoring or heavy breathing is the reason they can’t get a good night’s sleep. This, among other factors such as stress and worry, can cause countless nights of tossing and turning. Instead, if you’re worried about getting enough sleep, don’t be ashamed to lovingly negotiate sleeping separately every once in a while.

Elle Macpherson We caught up with international supermodel, TV host, actress and founder of WelleCo, Elle Macpherson, to talk waking up to the importance of self-care:
"I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the value of nurturing activities, such as tending to a garden and cooking. I’ve found that grounded pastimes like this slow me down and help me focus on what’s really important. Starting and ending the day calm is great for beating stress and helps me feel fulfilled and at peace. At night, I often do a yoga class or some poses at home before bed – my aim is to have continuous sleep that’s full of dreams."
